Print-on-demand (POD) orders are printed and fulfilled only after an order has been placed. This removes the need to purchase in bulk and keep track of inventory.

POD, or print-on-demand, is available thanks to modern advances in printing technology. Garments are printed using direct-to-garment (DTG) or direct-to-film (DTF) printing.

As the name implies, DTG printers lay ink directly onto the garment. Think of it as a specialized, suped-up inkjet printer. DTF is similar, but the print is first applied to a transfer film. Heat and specialized glue powder are used to transfer the print from the film to the desired garment.

Embroidery is not currently available for web stores, but it will be an option in the future.

Vector art, .ai or .eps files, are preferred because they’re infinitely scalable. This ensures your artwork can be sized appropriately to fill the available print area.

If your artwork isn’t available in a vector format, .png files with a transparent background are the only other file type accepted. They need to be high-resolution (300 dpi) when scaled at 100%.

Setting your margin is part of the web store order form. You can decide on a set dollar amount to earn from each item in your store. Pricing margins are set for the entire store, and not for each individual item. Don’t stress about this part too much. We can always adjust your margin after your web store is set up.

The Hashy Hab demo store can give you an idea of cost and profit. Every item in the demo store will earn a profit of $10 when sold. The prices in your web store will reflect your margin. So, if you set your margin at $5 instead of $10, a $30 shirt becomes a $25 shirt.

Absolutely! The first 24 items are free, but additional items can be added in groups of 12 for a $100 fee.

Yes! The preselected products are included for free. However, you can add any printable items from the SanMar catalog (click to browse) to your web store for $15 per item. You can add these items while completing the web store order form.
